    About this blog

Health care is not a right.

Health care is not a privilege

Health care for all is in everyone’s interest.

Only when everyone has ready and easy and understandable access to the health care system, will we begin to tackle the problems of affordability and efficiency in the health care delivery system.

An improved patient delivery system is a necessary condition for an improved health care delivery system.

Michael Moore’s movie, Sicko, emphasized the ways that insurance companies deny coverage.  But the perversions of the American health care system extend far beyond the health insurance companies.

If health care is not universal, there must be gatekeepers to admit people or deny people entry into the innumerable silos that offer health care coverage or offer access to other silos called networks.

I hope to contribute to the dialogue for a more rational health care system – one that spends its money on health care instead of in health care.

I have a day job, so my posts will be limited to Saturdays and an occasional Wednesday.
